Prabowo drove the golf buggy himself, accompanied by Macron, Brigitte Macron, and his son Didit Hediprasetyo from the courtyard to the temple’s base.

As they travelled uphill, Prabowo narrated Borobudur’s history, built in the 9th century under the Sailendra dynasty.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya described the moment as a clear display of mutual respect and closeness.
“Their ease and laughter were visible as President Prabowo shared Borobudur’s significance,” said Teddy via Instagram on Friday.
